BREAKING NEWS: Alexandra Breckenridge Didn’t Think Virgin River Would Last Past Season 1😱
Mel and Jack may finally be married, but Virgin River Season 7 proves their story is far from over.
The new season, now streaming on Netflix, shifts its attention toward the couple’s honeymoon phase as they settle into life on the farm and begin building a future together.
According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, fans will get to see a more mature stage of their relationship — one centered less on “will they or won’t they” drama and more on emotional growth.

“There’s a lot more story to tell with these characters,” Smith revealed, emphasizing that the writers have no interest in forcing a breakup storyline between the fan-favorite couple.
Season 7 also expands the world of Virgin River with several new arrivals, including Sara Canning’s Victoria, an investigator examining Doc’s medical practice, and Cody Kearsley’s Clay, a rugged rodeo worker searching for his long-lost sister.

Meanwhile, longtime couples like Hope and Doc, Preacher and Kaia, and Lizzie and Denny continue navigating love, family, and major life changes of their own.
And yes — Season 8 is already officially happening.
