THE ENDER? EastEnders fans convinced show icon will DIE this week after spotting clue
EASTENDERS fans are convinced a show icon will DIE this week after spotting a clue in today’s episode.
The beloved character has recently been suffering with health issues that have been diagnosed as blood cancer.
After months of ill-health and symptoms, Denise was given the news last month that she has acute myeloid leukaemia.
In today’s episode Denise was left torn when she was told she needed an urgent medical procedure to keep her alive – at the same time as her grandson Jordan was fighting for his life.
The child had been knocked down by a drink-driving Ian Beale, and left needing urgent spinal surgery.
Denise opted to stay with her family, putting her own health and life at risk.

Announcing the storyline last month, EastEnders said it would follow Denise throughout the year.
However with her absence from the flashforward, fans now think that Denise will be seen dying this week.
One wrote: “The performances from Diane Parish and Angela Wynter in today’s episode were beyond phenomenal.
“I’m honestly scared that Denise will die. #eastenders”
A second said: “have this awful gut feeling Denise is gonna die. #eastenders”
Another added: “I started this year excited for the return of Libby Fox and now we are not even half way through Libby isn’t even back yet and Denise might die and Gary Atkins is coming back to haunt Chelsea. #eastenders”
The storyline is set to explore Denise’s battle, with Executive Producer, Ben Wadey, saying: “It was vital to us that Denise’s storyline is portrayed with sensitivity and care, and we’re grateful to Blood Cancer UK for their advice in helping us tell this story accurately.
“As viewers follow Denise, we hope to shine a light on the realities and challenges of an acute myeloid leukaemia diagnosis and the impact it has on the person affected and those around them.”
Helen Rowntree, CEO of Blood Cancer UK, added: “It’s been a privilege advising the EastEnders team to ensure Denise’s storyline reflects the real experiences of people living with blood cancer and those who care for them.

“Blood cancers, which include leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, do not discriminate yet experiences and outcomes can vary significantly, including by ethnicity.
“Being Black and living with an aggressive blood cancer like acute myeloid leukaemia can bring additional challenges.
“We hope viewers gain a greater understanding of blood cancer’s impact and we’re pleased this issue is being highlighted on a powerful platform, helping make a ‘hidden’ cancer more visible.”
