General Hospital’s Casting Boom Continues With a Brand New Face Who’s Sure to Leave You ‘Intrigued!’
Anyone who’s been paying attention to General Hospital the past few weeks is most definitely aware of how many folks have been joining the soap lately. It makes a bit of sense as it seems that the Faison final project story is winding down, which is thinning out the canvas a bit. We’ve already lost Pascal, and it’s tough to see how either Sidwell or Cullum will be sticking around when it’s all over. And that’s not even mentioning Kristina’s surprise exit!

There’s Dean Geyer’s Tristan Roberts (named in honor of the late Tristan Rogers), Kayden Brenna Tokarski aging Scout up and Kelly Kruger taking over and bringing back Serena Baldwin. Now, there’s one more new cast member to add to the list — though his character doesn’t seem to have any ties to the show just yet!
According to TV Insider, Troy Lennon Appel, has been cast as Hudson, a mysterious business exec, and he’ll begin airing on July 30th. But that’s about all we know of the new character! Though executive producer Frank Valentini shared with TV Insider that, “Troy is a terrific guy, and we are excited to have him join our cast. And fans will be intrigued to see how his character fits into the story.”
The is Appel’s first daytime role, though he’s done a number of TV movies and mini-series. But he’s definitely in good hands at General Hospital, telling TV Insider that, “So many of the cast and crew have gone out of their way to welcome me, and I am immensely grateful for how simple and easy this transition has been.”
Well, we’ll add our voices to the chorus of welcomes and can’t wait to see what Hudson’s deal is. In Port Charles, you never can know who to trust!
