Days of our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, June 2, force Sarah to explain exactly what Chanel’s options are… and Chanel and Johnny are forced to pick one.

Chanel (Raven Bowens) is pregnant — and she’s just been diagnosed with malignant breast cancer. She has some tough decisions to make. Recently, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) told Holly (Ashley Puzemis) that she’s not a psychiatrist.

We also know she’s not a gynecologist. But apparently, the kind of doctor she is is the kind who can tell Chanel what she can do to save her life, as well as her baby’s.

Unfortunately, Chanel isn’t happy with what she hears. And doesn’t want to do any of it. She wants a happier ending. She demands it.

Marlena Draws a Line With Xander

Days of our Lives Spoilers June 2 Chanel.

Also making demands is Marlena (Deidre Hall), who is actually a psychiatrist. She is treating Xander (Paul Telfer). And she doesn’t like how things are going.

So Marlena tells Xander what he needs to do. Or else she won’t be his doctor anymore. And then what choices will he have? Speak to a day player doctor? As if!

Alex’s New Family Changes Everything

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) spent his time while Stephanie (Abigail Klein) was in Hong Kong for Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Wendy’s (Victoria Grace) wedding, bonding with his newfound daughter. Originally, it was just going to be Alex and Kelsey, but then Alex freaked out to find out that babies cry, and Joy (AlexAnn Hopkins) ended up staying to smooth their first visit. Alex ended up loving it and gushed to Justin (Wally Kurth) about how awesome being a dad is — did Justin know that?

Meanwhile, Joy confesses to Kate (Lauren Koslow) that maybe she isn’t quite as disinterested in Alex as she’s led Alex to believe.

Chanel Refuses to Accept the Final Answer

Chanel is devastated after hearing Sarah’s explanation, but grief quickly transforms into determination. Instead of accepting the limited medical options presented to her, she demands alternatives.

She insists that there must be another path—specialized treatment, second opinions, or experimental procedures that could save both her and her baby. Her refusal to accept “no” reflects both fear and love, but also a growing sense of desperation.

Sarah remains calm but firm. She explains that while medicine continues to advance, Chanel’s situation leaves very little room for compromise. Any delay or deviation from treatment recommendations could cost her life.

Johnny watches the exchange unfold, increasingly torn. He understands Chanel’s desperation, but he also sees the danger in false hope. The emotional distance between them begins to grow, even as they sit right next to each other.

Johnny’s Emotional Collapse Begins

Johnny (Carson Boatman) tries to stay strong, but internally he is breaking apart. He imagines a future without Chanel, and it becomes unbearable. At the same time, he cannot ignore the reality that delaying treatment could also destroy their family.

He finds himself questioning whether love alone is enough to carry them through something this devastating.

The emotional burden forces Johnny into silence at key moments, leaving Chanel to interpret his reactions in ways that may not reflect his true feelings.

Marlena Tightens Her Grip on Xander

Marlena (Deidre Hall) grows increasingly concerned as Xander (Paul Telfer) continues to resist emotional vulnerability. She recognizes patterns of avoidance that suggest deeper unresolved trauma.

In a firm confrontation, Marlena tells Xander that therapy only works if he is willing to be honest—not just with her, but with himself. If he continues to resist, she will end their sessions immediately.

Xander is shaken. Marlena is one of the few people he trusts, and the possibility of losing that support destabilizes him further. But instead of opening up, he reacts with frustration, pushing people away just when he needs them most.

Alex Discovers the Reality of Fatherhood

Meanwhile, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) is experiencing a dramatic emotional shift as he continues bonding with his unexpected child. What began as uncertainty has now become attachment.

However, Justin (Wally Kurth) reminds him that fatherhood is not just about emotional moments—it is about long-term responsibility, sacrifice, and stability.

Alex begins to realize that while he is embracing the role emotionally, he may not fully understand the long-term consequences of it.

Joy and Kate’s Quiet Power Struggle

Joy’s confession to Kate changes everything. By admitting she is not emotionally detached from Alex, she unintentionally opens the door to suspicion.

Kate, experienced and perceptive, begins to monitor the situation more closely. She understands that unchecked emotions in Salem rarely remain harmless for long.

What begins as a private confession could soon become a public complication that disrupts multiple lives.
