NEWEST UPDATE!!! EastEnders confirms return of familiar face this month in new advanced spoilers
EastEnders spoilers have confirmed that a familiar face will return to Walford later this month. As Albert Square comes to terms with the events of the wedding night that changes everything, which former character is making a surprise comeback… and for what reason?
Last month, when asked about whether there might be some more returning characters in the future, executive producer Ben Wadey teased: “I would keep your eyes peeled in the next few weeks; there may be a couple of nice surprises on the horizon.”
Viewers were already surprised by Whitney and Sharon making unannounced appearances in last week’s episodes, but new spoilers released by the BBC have revealed that “a familiar face returns to the Square” on Tuesday, 16 June. Who will we be seeing again soon?

Meanwhile, in the aftermath of Denise telling Jack about her blood cancer diagnosis, he attempts to get through to her partner before the community comes together to support the struggling couple later in the week.
Elsewhere, Oscar has bad news for his twin love interests Jasmine and Josh, Chelsea gets a surprising offer following Jordan’s accident, and Ian fears that he could lose everything having caused the young boy’s injuries.
There are some slight schedule changes for EastEnders coming up to look out for too, as the FIFA World Cup 2026 gets underway this month.
On Monday, 15 June and Tuesday, 16 June, the soap will move to BBC Two at the usual time of 7.30pm. The remaining two episodes of the week will return to BBC One, but at the later time of 8.30pm.

Walford rallies behind Jack and Denise. A familiar face returns to the Square. Vinny makes a declaration to Penny.
Wednesday, 17 June – 8.30pm, BBC One
Penny worries about telling Gina her and Vinny’s plans, Chelsea becomes overwhelmed by mounting worries, and Ian fears one mistake could cost him everything.
Thursday, 18 June – 8.30pm, BBC One
Chelsea receives an unexpected offer, Ian turns to Kathy for help, and Bea meddles with Honey and Billy.
