As investigators work to uncover what happened to actor Stewart McLean, those closest to him are reflecting on the shocking loss. One longtime friend now says he sensed something was wrong almost immediately after McLean vanished.

Jeff Seymour, who had known the actor for years, recalled being stunned when McLean failed to show up for filming. Describing him as meticulous and highly aware of his surroundings, Seymour said such behavior was completely out of character.

Authorities launched a missing-person investigation after McLean was reported missing on May 18. Days later, evidence led police to classify the case as a homicide investigation.
