Uh Oh! Is General Hospital’s Britt Really Rocco’s Biological Mom After All?

The General Hospital Twist So Infuriating, It Just Might Work!

Lulu’s probably about to *lay* into Liz on #GH today after overhearing her and Dante, but what if the nurse is more than right than even she knows?

Britt’s in a whole lot of trouble on General Hospital now that she’s basically kidnapped a minor, Rocco, to go on the run from Cullum and Sidwell. Lulu and Dante are frantic to get them back, and even Sonny’s involved — and he set Brick on the case to get them back! If Britt’s stopped by the villains, she’s as good as dead. If she’s stopped by anyone else, there’s a very good chance she’s heading straight to jail. That is, if Sonny doesn’t make her sorry in other ways!

But what if this story has all been building to a reveal that could make things a bit easier on Britt, at least on the legal side. What if, when they’re found, we all learn that Rocco is Britt’s son, instead of Lulu’s!

Look, we know how unpopular that idea is, but we also know how much viewers have been pondering it just about nonstop for some time. Then to see even Liz defending Britt, saying she’s acting like a mother who just wants to do right by her kid…

It may drive viewers crazy — and is certainly about to infuriate Lulu — but it’s not helping dissuade us from the idea that Britt really is Rocco’s mom after all! And this being Port Charles, it’s not impossible, especially with how much Obrecht (one of the architects of Britt’s pregnancy with “Ben”/Rocco) keeps insisting that Britta is Rocco’s mom!

There was a time, remember, when Obrecht would do just about anything for Faison. Maybe she wanted to give Faison a true grandson, and lied to Britt about how she became pregnant. She could have stolen Dante’s sperm (they did DNA test him, after all) and artificially inseminated Britt, instead of transplanting Lulu’s embryo. If Britt didn’t think she had a biological connection to the baby, after all, maybe Obrecht reasoned she’d be less upset about losing him to her sociopathic father.

Obrecht’s obsession, thankfully, didn’t last and eventually she turned away from Faison. At that point, she could have committed to the “Rocco is Lulu and Dante’s child” story to make sure he left the kid alone. And, to keep Rocco safe, Obrecht’s kept up the lie all these years. Sure Faison’s dead. Obrecht knows that. We all know that.

But let’s face it. Since this final project storyline has been going on, we’ve all been wondering if he’s alive somewhere after all. Keeping the truth buried when dealing with a master of resurrection like Faison could make sense.
